Zhejiang Guangtian Power Equipment Powers Yichang's First Grid-Connected New Energy Storage Station

Following the command from the smart control center, the Changyang Longzhouping New Energy Storage Station, for which Zhejiang Guangtian Power Equipment Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Guangtian) provided the core energy storage system solution, has successfully achieved its initial grid connection. As the first large-scale new energy storage project in Yichang City, this milestone signifies a major step forward in the region's grid regulation capability and green energy consumption capacity, and serves as a testament to Zhejiang Guangtian's system integration expertise in the new energy storage field.

For this exemplary project, leveraging its profound experience in R&D and manufacturing of power equipment, Zhejiang Guangtian developed a highly efficient, stable, and intelligent integrated energy storage system. This system not only fulfills the station's core functions of "peak shaving and valley filling" and intelligent regulation but also ensures efficient and safe conversion of electrical energy between chemical storage and grid feed-in through highly integrated design and advanced energy management strategies.

The station has a total planned capacity of 50MW. The initial phase, now connected, is 20MW. Upon full operation, the station will boast a maximum discharge power of 50MW with a 4-hour duration, effectively acting as a sizable, dispatchable "energy sponge" for the grid. It rapidly absorbs surplus power during periods of excess wind or solar generation and discharges power steadily during peak demand or insufficient renewable output. This enhances power supply reliability and supports a higher proportion of green electricity consumption for local industries, residents, and scenic area operations.
