Project background: In order to reduce the power quality pollution of the medium frequency furnace on the power grid, the domestic steel mills launched a large-scale technical reform project of converting the medium frequency furnace to electric arc furnace. The user built the second production line according to the market demand, and found that when the second production line started to run in the trial operation stage, due to the huge load and reactive power, it caused voltage fluctuation and high harmonic content, which resulted in the vibration of the blast furnace high-pressure blower running beyond the operational requirements, and there was a risk of shutdown, which led to the user not being able to start the second production line normally, and brought about a huge economic loss.
Project solution: install a set of BKSMC-17000/38.5 magnetron reactor and filtering capacitor bank in the first production line refining furnace production stage, install a set of BKSMC-23000/38.50/38.5 magnetron reactor and filtering capacitor bank in the second production line refining furnace production stage, and install a set of BKSMC-33000/38.50/38.5 magnetron reactor and filtering capacitor bank in the two busbars of the main substation of the 220kV inlet line respectively. A set of BKSMC-11000/38.5 magnetic reactor and filter capacitor bank are installed on the two busbars of 220kV inlet main substation respectively for centralized compensation, which can track and compensate according to the actual reactive power demand of the system and automatically adjust the output reactive power according to the actual load change, follow the output of the load dynamic change, and the filter capacitor bank filters out the corresponding harmonics to realize the reduction of reactive power loss of the line, stabilize the voltage, and ensure that the power factor is more than 0.95, and to avoid the occurrence of the power loss caused by the shutdown of the high-pressure fan. Avoid production accidents caused by the stoppage of high-pressure fan.


Running effect: the equipment quickly follows the load changes to ensure that the real-time power factor is greater than 0.96, the bus voltage and harmonic content is within the national requirements, the vibration range of the high-voltage fan is stabilized in the operation of the permissible range only to avoid production accidents caused by the shutdown of high-voltage fans, and to ensure that the second normal line of the user is put into operation smoothly.
