United as One to Defend Against Typhoon, Stand Guard Firmly for Safety

Super Typhoon Bavi, the 9th typhoon of 2026, is the strongest tropical cyclone impacting Zhejiang coastal areas this year with peak wind force reaching
Grade 17. It was forecast to directly hit Taizhou and Wenzhou coastal regions from July 11 to 12, bringing violent gales, heavy rainfall, wide influence scope and severe flood prevention pressure. To fully reinforce the safety production defense line and protect factory facilities, materials, normal operation as well as life and property of all staff, the company responded rapidly, deployed preventive plans in advance and launched a full-scale campaign against the typhoon.

Upon receiving typhoon warnings, the company immediately activated flood and typhoon emergency response mechanism, held special deployment meetings and formulated nine targeted prevention measures. Clear responsibilities, operation standards and deadlines were assigned to all departments and workshops. Full-process work including duty rosters, hazard inspection, material support and emergency disposal was refined to ensure clear accountability and thorough implementation for factory safety during the storm.

From July 10 to 11, comprehensive grid-style hazard inspections and rectifications were carried out across the whole plant. Key locations including production workshops, test areas, high-low voltage power distribution facilities, warehouses, outdoor equipment and drainage systems were checked item by item. All exposed raw materials, semi-finished products and tooling equipment were relocated, reinforced and covered. Drainage pipelines and ditches were cleared to prevent rainwater backflow; factory roofs, doors, windows and temporary structures were fastened and renovated to eliminate all wind and rain hazards fundamentally.

Adequate emergency supplies guarantee the rescue work. By noon on July 11, all flood prevention materials were fully stocked, including rain gear, emergency lighting, water pumps, reinforcing ropes, waterproof tarpaulins and first-aid supplies in complete and usable condition, providing solid logistical support for typhoon defense.

On the afternoon of July 11, the company upgraded its emergency response to Level 1 in response to the evolving typhoon track. Adhering to the principle of "Life First, Safety Foremost", production was suspended and all employees were arranged to shelter at home. A safety notice for dormitory and household typhoon precautions was issued to guide staff to protect themselves and families, realizing zero personal risks.

Meanwhile, an 18-member special typhoon duty team was arranged for round-the-clock on-site standby. Staff tracked wind and rain data in real time, patrolled the factory continuously, monitored equipment stability, waterlogging and structural safety, to discover, report and resolve hidden dangers at the earliest stage with instant response and closed-loop handling for emergencies.

On July 12, Typhoon Bavi passed through Taizhou smoothly. Thanks to scientific emergency plans, rigorous preventive actions and joint efforts of all employees, the company successfully resisted the super typhoon and achieved excellent results: zero accidents, zero waterlogging, zero equipment damage and zero safety incidents within the factory. This anti-typhoon operation served as both a real combat test and a comprehensive emergency drill, consolidating the company’s emergency management foundation and accumulating mature flood and typhoon disposal experience.

Better to take full precautions than regret neglect. From detailed planning, hazard elimination and material preparation to 24-hour on-duty patrols, all Guangtian staff united with strong sense of responsibility, strict execution and solid combat
effectiveness to build an impregnable safety barrier for the factory. Hardship tests responsibility and persistence interprets original aspiration. Every persistent guard embodies the corporate spirit of Guangtian Electric. In the future, the company will consistently prioritize safety production, normalize emergency management and hidden danger rectification, and support stable, high-quality enterprise development with standardized management and rigorous work style.
